1st Egg

I got my first egg today! This morning my RIR rooster crowed for the first time then later I went to check on the flock and found the first egg!
My RIRs are 17 weeks old. I’m so excited to start getting a steady supply!

My family swears that the first egg always tastes the best, even if it's only because of the anticipation and sense of ceremony involved!
