Stay calm and give it 24 hours before going to help. I have never had one pip face down so I can't give you much help with that. However, I just hatched some chicks last week and had one pip at the wrong end. It had been over 24 hours and still no progress. So I cracked the shell off so that it looked zipped almost all the way, moistened the membrane with warm water and placed it back in the incubator. I didn't peel back the membrane. After it started pushing a lot, it started to slide down the egg and figured out how to zip the membrane. She's still alive and very strong. After their first pip they take a very long resting period that is hours long. So stay calm. As for the face down one I would turn it to it's side if you want. As long as the humidity in the incubator is good, a quick open and close won't be a big deal. Hope this helped and good luck.
