I have the little giant incubator from TSC. We only have a themometer and no hyrdometer or turner. However, I have been very good about keeping water in there for humidity. Should I be worried about not knowing the humidity percent and go buy a meter pronto? I'm also hatching two dozen mallard eggs, a dozen call ducks and maybe a little over a dozen chicken eggs. Please any tips would be wonderful this is my first time hatching with a legit incubator thanks!

Go buy a hydrometer! My brinsea incubator has to have both water trays full to have a 45%RH. During lock down I usually have to add water cups to get a high enough RH. You definetly do NOT want to lose that many eggs.

thanks so much! do you know where i could buy one? a local hardware store? and does it have to be a certain kind?

I got an all in one deal (temp and humidity) at home depot for $10. It records your highest and lowest registered temp plus highest and lowest humidity reading within a 24 hour period. Fits in the palm of your hand and has a magnet on back so it sticks snugly to the screen. I love that thing. Plus I got a $2 standard thermometer with a standard (not digital) hygrometer for the other aide of the incubator. Read the thread "little giant incubator tricks" as well for all the intricacies involved with them.

thanks to everyone for the advice! My brother found one so here we go, first hatch is this saturday!
