My emus just laid 4 eggs. Miss Giggles is a 1st time mom & Mr. ***** is a 1st time dad. 3 of the eggs are by each other ( 1st,3rd & 4th ) & the 2nd egg that she laid is by itself ... Do i move the 2nd egg into the nest or is it their way of saying it is not a good egg ? The 3 are under the bush ... The one by its self is out in the open.

The only things I know about emu are from a thread I've been following lately:

Interesting birds, hope you have a good hatch!

Welcome to BYC. The folks on the emu thread should be able to give you good advice They are fascinating creatures. Some of the chicken folk used to have them & put up lots of videos.

Welcome!

While I hail from the land of Emu’s, I honestly know nothing about them but do hope that you get an answer to your question and have a successful hatch.

I also hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends
