1st time incubating...rotten egg smell

also dont just look at the eggs in the turner, pick them up and check them that way...I made a mistake my first time of just taking a peek,....it was seeping underneath the turner part and the egg was stuck in the turner.

Egg incubating shouldnt smell...you might smell a CLEAN warm egg...but its very clean smell....if you can smell something very strong...or even more than mild...there is something wrong. I had an egg explode after I threw it out, then I had one that I decided to open, and when I did...with the first crack it bursted open from the pressure inside I guess, got all over my hands and arms...I COULD NOT GET THAT SMELL OFF!!!!

All the washing in the world didnt do it....but tell you what does work...WHITE VINEGAR...RUB IT ON YOUR SKIN...THEN AFTERWARDS SOAP UP.

Thank you to everyone for the replies!!! Very useful information...we attempted to candle...and it just didn't work out. So we sniffed each egg and found it!! We took it into the woods and cracked it open...it was pretty gross and there was a very small embryo
