1st time ordering chicks by mail - Tips - Please

An update on my chicks! Withing 36 hours of receiving my chicks 3 additional chicks died! I was so sad, one died in my hands.

3 of the chicks were all the same breed. Do idea what happened to these guys, very frustrating. No deaths since Thursday night, but this morning one had a very very crusty eye, the one with the crusty eye is the same breed that 3 of have already died. I am getting a bit discouraged, fingers crossed that the rest will continue to do well. That is my rambling update, thinking I just needed to vent.

Oh My Gosh...that's terrible..I'm so sorry.

How many did you get in all? This makes me very concerned because mine will be shipping out from MPC on monday, and I am only getting four...not alot of room for losses. What was the breed that you lost? Hope youor other little ones will be ok. Have you contacted the hatchery?
