1st time Turkey raiser. Have had chickens for 11 yrs.

Could use some assistance. Always raised chickens for 4H. Daughter chose to do turkeys this year also. Have a turkey with a swollen foot. Is it bumble foot? Live in Ohio. No vets knowledgeable or deal with poultry in my area.

Welcome to the site. I have no experience with turkeys. Like you, if I saw this in a chicken, I'd probably assume it was bumblefoot. No scab material underneath??? Is is reddish at all (because at this time of year I always think of bee stings too)??? As someone else said, posting this in the turkey section might get you some experienced help. Good luck!

Hi and from Ohio. So glad to have you aboard. Since I don't really see a scab anywhere, I would not think it is bumble foot, but check with the turkey section.

Ok my bad, I am looking at the top of the foot. What does the bottom of the foot look like? Is there a spot on the bottom of the foot?
