1st timer ???s

Hi I'm new. We are thinkng of gettng chickens for eggs and would like to know if these are good and if they can live togeher.
Cochins or Brahmas or Orpingtons?

those are nice birds and they can live together.

Generally you can put any bunches of chickens together as long as they are about the same age. Sometimes banties can be a bit small to put in with standards but I've never had a problem with it.

If you really want eggs though, and birds that don't jump around like the sky is falling, get some sexlinks. They are a bit lighter and more efficient layers because they were made for eggs, plus no risk of getting a roo. You don't need a roo, but if you want one. Stick to one roo per 8 or 12 hens of the type you are looking at. Good luck.
