Hi, new to raising poults! Had then since they were 2 days old! I have 10 of them, they get their turkey starter, and super boost in their water.. But they seem "bored".. Running around, trying to fly, dive bombing onto each other and minor beak pecking.. Is their anything I can give them food wise that will occupy them and won't hurt their little bellies? Or are they to young?I have alphapha hay (I give my rabbit), can they eat/ play with that? Any other recommendations greatly appreciated.

What size brooder are they in? The only "treats" that I give mine are egg yolks and egg whites. They not only eat that but they play around with it first as they grab it and run all over the brooder trying to run away from their brooder mates. This keeps them busy for a while.

I got turkey poults for the first time this Spring. They are very curious and like you said, seemed bored. I got them some of those small, plastic, balls that are brightly colored with bells inside. They are really cat toys, but the poults loved them! I also put some of those stringed parakeet toys that have beads, mirrors, and bells on them and the poults love to peck at them and play with them. Now my turkeys are about 3 months old and very friendly and love to be petted and scratched. They still play with their toys.

This is our first year with turkeys! I am now going to send my hubby to the store for cat and bird toys for those getting ready to hatch this week!! This is a great Idea!
