1wk old cochin with shaking head...?

I have a week old Cochin chick I got from Meyers. She shakes her a lot, almost like an uncontrollable tick. She even does it while sleeping. Does anyone know what this might be? It can't be mites considering the fact the eggs are in the incubators and then hatch and head out for shipment. The chicks ever have a chance to e exposed to them. These are my starter folk, so there's no mites from here either. Any ideas?

Im sorry to here about your chick and I hope someone can help you.

I was trolling about the net and found this http://poultrycommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?6799-5-day-old-chick-acting-oddly

and found some research done here in australia that suggests odors can effect shaking (and pecking) in day old chicks.

It suggests such thing with sulphides in them can cause problems. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8946488)

Could the chick been exposed to something by accident.

I sincerely hope it resolved it self quickly and healthily
