Crest shape, & comb size are useful at this age depending on feather growth.

Cookie has a puff, but it kinda slicks back by neck. Comb is short, but wide with no puffiness.

Round to me, will take a picture of cookie for ya.

I look at the feather bud lengths, boys usually have shorter even ones then females. Males, short primaries, & coverts. Females long coverts, short primaries.

You must have a special line to be able to do that, fast feather growth crossed with slow feather growth, for most birds that does not work.

I find comb color at about 6 weeks tell the tale on males in most breeds.
