So my chicks are now pullets I suppose(?) and they are A HOOT! They have been outside 24x7, have a great time in their run, adjusted to the coop and are basically feathered goats as they will pretty much eat anything you put in front of them! Actually, my goats are anti-goats and are the pickiest eaters in my clan here...

The little yellow girl in my profile pic turned out to definitely be a Buff Orp, and the browns are Partridge Rocks - and I cannot tell them apart LOL...

We actually had a tornado blow through here on Friday! It was a tiny one, especially as compared to the things that hit tornado alley, but on Long Island, its a rarity. I was actually securing the coop when it hit and it came so fast, I couldnt get back in the house, so I hid in the barn with the horse! The girls were still in their covered run when I had to bail and I tried to get in to get them in the coop, but the trees started falling so I ran for shelter....there was a brief break where I got to them and their run was completely flooded, but thankfully they were safe in their coop. I locked them in and ran back to the house...

So I think if we made it through that, we could make it through anything! LOL

I always prefered Hurricanes. Even without the news its pretty obvious they are on the way. Tornadoes are pretty darn random, and unless your watching for one it can sneak up on you.

Glad you're enjoying them. Also very glad that you and they made it through with nothing more than a good story.
