I have a 2 1/2 week old Rhode Island Red Chick that is no longer able to support her weight. She was found yesterday morning unable to stand and was separated from the others. After doing some research I think she might have 'splayed legs' but any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. She was drinking and eating normally yesterday and today she is more sluggish and not as responsive.
The chicks have been fed starter chicken feed and get a teaspoon of sugar in their water every day. We change the bedding regularly but since noticing this chick we have added more pine shavings to the coop.
We have been changing her bedding regularly to keep her clean and out of her poop. This is how she is staying. I would really appreciate any help!
