Would it be fine if I made a chicken tractor and put a light in there for them, for warmth? Thanks.

I have a friend that puts day old chicks outside in a tractor with a light. I think as long as they can get into the house part easy it should be ok. I wouldn't do it in the winter but its getting warm, so just watch them and make sure they don't seem cold.

You bet it would be alright.
As long as they have a source of heat.

I put mine outside in a special brooder/tractor and they love it.
2-3 weeks old and out they go.

My tractor is 3' wide x 4' long x 2-1/2' tall.

Hens take their day old babies outside for romps and search for bugs and worms, so as long as they have a warm place to go and are safe from predators (meow), then they should be fine. I let my 2 week olds go outside for a few hours each day. By the time they are a month old, they are spending most of the day outside. I figure that the fresh air, bugs, and grass are healthy for them. Plus the feed bill gets cut in 1/2 when they are allowed to roam ouside.
