These have been great hens but they're the last two of our flock and I need to find a new home for them soon. We're getting out of chicken-keeping for a little while to focus on other things.
The easter egger is in great shape, is very friendly and funny, and lays wonderful eggs. The australorp has had a few health problems recently but nothing major. I performed a bumblefoot surgery on her this week, and she seems to be healing fine. She's also had a bald butt recently, but nothing has seemed to come of it. She gets around fine and lays well, too. I've been giving her epsom salt baths to make sure she's comfortable and clean. She also squawks a lot in the morning, so she might benefit from a larger flock on a farm rather than being in the city. I let them free range all day.
I'll post some pictures later today.
