Hello. This is my first time with raising baby chicks. (the time when I was really little doesn't count)
We have 4 baby chicks, one 3 week old and three 2 week olds. One of our 2 week old chicks suddenly started limping on her left leg yesterday and is now also breathing faster than the other chicks. I can't notice a visible injury to her left leg and it looks the same as her right leg, but I am also inexperienced. Otherwise, she is eating and drinking ok. She can still take a few steps and can stand still. Also, they recently started to fly at each other (to determine their pecking order?) so not sure if the injury possibly came from that.
I put her in a smaller brooder with the other smaller chick, and left the other two chicks in the bigger brooder. The brooders are put next to each other because the 2nd biggest chick started complaining.
