any chance there is a fracture in the joint? has she been this way since hatching..? as long as she is otherwise healthy she wont die from this, we just have to figure out whats wrong.. do the nerve damage test (pinch between toes on good foot, to show you what her reaction should be then the bad to see if she can feel pain in her foot..
let me know:)

and she's had the swollen joint since you got her?.and are her toes balled?
.it could be trauma, a fracture in the joint.. its tricky to know without seeing her.. as usual the best thing you can do with anything that might be a break is a vet visit but if you cant do that then go to the chemist and buy some papertape.. this is the easy to tear medical tape often used to tape the cottonball in place after you've had an injection. then get a cotton ball (not huge but medium) and spreading her toes carefully in the appropriate directions, tape it securly underneath her foot, go underneath and around a couple of times not too tight as to constrict blood flow but so it wont come off, this will be a good temporary splint, if the ball isnt too big it should flatten and make it easier to walk. if you tape it well (and keep an eye on it for a few hours after to make sure its not too tight, you will be surprised how long it lasts even if she's hobbling on it.
remember tho.. the vet would be better:)
hope this helps.

hey, good to know the swelling has gone down. I recently read a post here about something called bumblefoot that is caused by a staf infection, whilst not in my experience it sounded a lot like the problem you mentioned, perhaps look it up and see if it fits?
best of luck. olive.
