My 30 2.5 week old Cornish X have outgrown their brooder and I put them in the 8 x 4 x 3 tractor during the day and wheeled it into the heated garage at night. Too soon? We built the tractor gift-wrapped, completely wrapped in wire, because we have quite a predator problem in the area. The grass underneath is dry, but their feet never really hit solid ground. They have their wing and tail feathers, but still a lot of fuzz. Yesterday it was 79 degrees, but today it's 60 and raining. I have the top and half of the sides double tarped and they are walking around, eating and drinking. Some are sleeping in groups in the corners. It is dry inside the tractor. Do I pull them inside while it's raining, because of the lack of feathers? Or is 60 degrees warm enough?
