2 Broken Eggs with only 1 Hen in Coop - Bad or Normal?

Okay, so for the last 2 days, I've not given her any mealworm, and given her only a small amount of birdseed. (I was concerned to cut her off completely, as she might go really searching under the fence for it where some spills from the bird-feeders, and I didn't want her getting stuck.) The first day off it, she laid a full egg. It's shell still seemed a little brittle, but perhaps a little stronger. No egg yesterday.

This morning, when I went to let her out of her coop-pen, she was laying on the ground. Then, when she stood up to walk out the door, she was limping. When I looked at her feeder, she'd spread uneaten food all around it. I have no idea what this means?

But because I'm just the petsitter and really worried now, I reversed my decision and gave her mealworm and birdseed in case there was something the owner was treating her for without me knowing. She's up and walking right now, but still limping.

Do you have any hints for me about this - especially what the uneaten food may mean? Thank you!

(P.S. I can post in another section if that's better! :) I just wasn't sure if should make a new thread for it, especially since it came on heels of the other issue...)

The "laying pan" may be part of the problem. It looks like the chicken has to jump into it and jump out of it rather than step into and out of it.
Nice catch there! Yes, I bet it stepped on the eggs hard jumping in. It's also possible that the limited space makes it harder to jump out and she tripped causing the limp. Just a thought.

Okay, thank you so much imnukensc and Cryss! I'll continue to monitor her today, and hopefully it's just that. :)
