I have had a hen sitting on eggs for about a week now and yesterday noticed another hen has taken over sitting on them but the first still wants to be on them as every chance she gets she sits back on them but then the other hen kicks her off ... 1st hen is a bantam second hen is a big hen (unsure of breed) ... What do I do ? Continue to let them take turns or try separate the eggs into 2 nests and place then hens on a nest each at night

I would split the eggs between them.

Thank you , will try that tonight and see how i go ... wish me luck!!
this is the first time i've had 2 broody hens at once!!!

I've had broodys once and I had two. I ended up giving to chicks the bigger one as they hatched since the other one couldn't hold them under her.

so splitting the eggs up didnt work , the still took turns at sitting in the one nesting box so i put all eggs back and decided to leave them to sort it out ... they are now sitting together in the one box sharing the eggs ... i saw that one got off so i went out to check on them and the one that was still in the box was taking care of the eggs while the other went to eat :) ....
