Thanks! There were some yellow chicks in the bin with crests...going to try to figure out what those were. They were not feather-legged. This is so much fun...a whole new world. lol. Chickens and chihuahuas! What fun!

Yellow chicks with crests? The likeliest breed would be buff-laced Polish. There may be some other fancy breeds that also look like that as chicks, but I'm not aware of any. We have a few buff-laced Polish and they're very pretty birds, although the hens need "haircuts" now and then so that they can see better.
