I hatched out a couple of chicks on Tuesday and one of them has a wry neck. I have read lots of things which suggest giving it Vitamin E and selenium. I have managed to get some chick multivitamin stuff which it can drink, and I've managed to get it to take on some, but it really doesn't seem to want to eat.
The chick really has some fight in it, so I'm not quite ready to give up on it, but I'm afraid that it won't go on much longer if it doesn't eat. I've managed to wipe a bit of egg onto its little beak and on a couple of occasions, it's fallen in and the chick has taken it, but when I put any food next to it, it just doesn't make any attempt to peck or anything.
The chick also has a tiny naval hernia which has dried up. Will that heal itself or do I need to do something about it?

First, separate the chick from the other ones just because other may peck it and make it worse. Then, feed the chick Vitamin E and Selenium. I recommend feeding it Vitamin E about three times a day, or as much as your chick can take. Be careful not to over dose. Here is a liquid form of Vitamin E, https://animalhealthwarehouse.com/p...84BLYtkoyStqCmOY6RIzrtGzYvcnU3HxoCrfQQAvD_BwE

you may also choose to feed it foods such as spinach, asparagus, and broccoli. After it consumes the supplements, water. And some food, you may see some progress in as little as 24 hours. Chickens can heal and survive with wry neck, but it takes lots of time and patience.

Wry neck may never fully heal, but it may get better after a few months. Continue giving it Vitamin E and Selenium, trying to give it water through a syringe may be easier. Here is a link. https://www.amazon.com/Hobbico-12cc...ocphy=9013114&hvtargid=pla-436792552301&psc=1

For food you could try purchasing liquid food for her, but make sure it is good for chicks. Just make sure to get some food and water in her daily as well as lots of medicine in proper dose. Prayers are sent your way!

Many thanks for that. I have bought some special vitamin liquid which the little chick has managed to take, but I just can't get it to take much food.
I will keep trying with the egg. Hopefully little Chickpea will eventually find that food is good!

I can try sending a picture but I struggled earlier! Hold on, I'll try again...

Ah, I think I've managed it!

As you can see, really trying. If I hold its head, it can support its own weight with its legs, but just can't get up by itself 😞
