2 day old silkies

These are my silkies that hatched on Monday. I'm not sure what to think of the coloring. I am assuming splash. The black coloring is not really a dark black, and there are lighter shades in areas...and they have silver grey feathering mixed in.

I looked at so many pictures of silkie babies yesterday I think I confused myself, and should have just said they were CUTE babies and left it at that. LOL....but now it's driving me crazy wondering.


Any suggestions or is it to soon to tell, or will coloring change any????

They are soooo cute!

I would guess splash too, but I'm not sure. I'm sorry I can't help. One of my silkies looked light blue as a baby and turned out to be black.

I'd say the darker ones are going to be black, and the lighter ones, blue. I don't see any splashes, my splashes were VERY light. Here's a picture of mine. All the way on left is a blue, then 2 blacks, then on the far right a splash.

Yours are soooo cute!!! Isn't there like a blue/black splash color. I saw one in a pic yesterday ( it was an adult though) and thought that was maybe what was going on with mine. But if all splash babies are light in color then I definitly don't have splash.

I can't help much either, but they are so cute!

I think we may end up picking up a few silkies this week
