I have 2 problems with 2 chicks i just took in. 1 had a ziptie oh her leg and her leg grew around it to the point where she can hardly stand on that foot. I cut the band off, cleaned the wound and now she is resting in a baby pool with the other chick. The other chick has scissor beak. Whats the best way of fixing this? I was thinking possibly filing her beak down? any advice would be great!!

It's good that you discovered the leg band and got it off. Clean the wound with some betadine or other disinfectant, and apply some plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic ointment. Scissor beak is a birth defect that may have been caused by heredity or a mineral deficiency, and they tend to get worse as the chick ages. I would get some chicken vitamins with minerals and give her some daily in her water or feed.
Wetting the feed and placing it in a hig sided bowl, along with trimming the beak may help. Here is a good link to read about that: http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/03/scissor-beak-aka-crossed-beak-what-it.html
