2 differnt species of quail breeding?? PICS ADDED

hybrids can occur but the one in strombergs ain't a bob bird. You order from there and get Tibetan. Believe me on this one.

Bobwhites can be mean to coturnix but if you have just one just see what you can create. They may be fertile, they may not.

Bobwhites and coturnix can interbreed and the resulting eggs can hatch out into a hybrid, but it is a crap shoot as far as what they look like in the end, and a mix of carnage it takes to achieve the end result.
Most bob bird hybrids are the result of crossing a cot. roo with bob hens. I'm not saying that your birds will not cross, but my best advice to you, if you really want to raise quail is to get you some more bob hens and at least 1 coturnix roo. Mate bob to bob and coturnix to coturnix, in totally separate pens!

Coturnix quail are no match for bobwhites!

Do you mean taste-wise or something else?

I mean something else. They are no physical match to bobs. Taste is a total value judgement.

there just pets and i wanted to create a hybrid. i like the weird looking animals. i love hybrids. i collected to eggs and there in the bator but somehow my bobwhite got out of the cage and most likely flew away. but im making repairs on the pen. my cot quail is a pet. hatched her from an egg and shes very tame and i dont think she knows how to fly. but the male was wild. i may get another but then again i may not.
