2 eggs first time

Hi All,

After about 32-35 weeks my RIR finally laid eggs. Strangely the first time i found any there were 2 eggs. the next day nothing and the following day 2 more. does this make sense that it can lay 2 eggs at a time?


Please excuse me if this has been posted before, I searched but haven't found anything

When my black sex link first started laying, she laid two soft shell eggs at the same time.

Were both eggs hard shelled?
You have 2 RIR, correct?
Maybe they both started laying the same day?

I have a buff orpington and an RIR (I also have a blue marans but her eggs are dark brown)

Buff hasn't grown a crown yet. So I'm assuming it's not laying. This is today's eggs
