Here's the story: one of my White Leghorn hens likes to fly out of the run (she is the ONLY one who escapes) so I just let her stay out, except when she wants to go back in the coop, which I let her, but soon after she is out again. She always lays her eggs (which is every day) in the empty stall next to the Silkies, which I use for my "goat maternity ward". A few days ago, I went to collect her egg (it was pretty late in the evening, she was already roosting) and there was nothing there. The next evening, when I looked in, to my great surprise, there were TWO big white eggs sitting side by side. I couldn't believe it!
