I have 4 chickens, 2 are EEs. One lays large blue eggs and the other med/large green eggs. Well, I have 2 very warm green eggs with the rest of the eggs today. Is that even possible!? She laid an egg yesterday too and I did have a blue egg so I know it's not my other EE.

Occasionally you may find a hen that lays twice a day. It happens, but it's rare. Lucky you!

Yeah, it can happen. What happens is that the hen accidently releases two yolks. If they are released together you might get a double-yolked egg. If they are released a bit apart you have two eggs making their way through her internal egg laying factory.

Sometimes the two eggs can be scarred by touching each other while they are in the shell gland. Sometimes the second egg is pretty thin-shelled. The shell gland just doesn’t have enough time to make enough shell material to make a good thick shell on the second egg. Sometimes they are perfectly normal. Sometimes the second one is small.
