2 eggs left to hatch- it’s been 3 days?

What do I do? They are heavy and not swishy but momma is not laying on them as much anymore . She has 5 chicks running around. Can I help or hatch them at this late stage or is it a lost cause? Any info or advice will be appreciated.

If your hen is no longer sitting on them, they are not going to hatch. Have you candled to check whether you see life or not? If they do appear to be alive, you would need to put them in an incubator.

How do you candle them and how do I know how to incubate them? So scared they may already be dead then.

When handling the eggs, make very sure to keep the round end up, the air pocket is on that end. Get a strong flashlight, go into a dark room/closet, shine the light to see if you can "see thru" the egg if anything. Check the egg over very carefully, see if you can see any cracks. Another thing you can try doing it hold it up to your ear, can you hear anything? IF the eggs are stinky or slimy, it's not good. FYI a rotting egg can & will explode.
