My leghorn decided to start laying last night but I didn't find it until this morning so it was froze. But then she disappeared for a little bit right after I opened the coop this morning so I went looking and she laid another one but this one was half soft half hard shell. It was only about 12-13 hours in between. Is this common when they start laying again? I'm hoping she's just going to lay in the mornings and it was an oops egg. She's about 4 years old I want to say? I'm not for sure since she was given to me.

It can happen as they start laying again, so nothing to worry about unless it becomes constant. Releasing one egg after another is how you end up with double yolks. Sometimes if they get frightened they will release the egg before it's fully shelled too.
