Chicken laying egg

Hey I have a quick question if anybody would like to help. I have a chicken that just started laying eggs. She later first egg the day before Easter and then later. Second egg on Easter has but not laid any eggs after. Is this normal? And then I have other chickens I have not starting laying yet. Is that normal and they're all around the same age? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

That's very normal for new layers. Takes couple months to get the egg factory up and running. Every chicken/breed is different. Some breeds lay around 4 months while other can take 8 to 9 months to lay. All depends on your breed of chicken.

Chickens do not always lay an egg a day, every single day. Some only lay two or three eggs a week. Enjoy whatever eggs your hens give you. They will also take tiime off from laying at different times of the year, but start up again weeks or months later. They may not lay much during the heat of summer. They won't lay while molting. During late fall and winter they don't lay because they don't get enough sunlight when the days are short.
