On a more serious note, a few days ago the Hellenic Council of State upheld the right for same-sex marriages adoptions .
It’s not been long since it first became legal for queer people to marry, and there has already been an appeal questioning its constitutional legitimacy. Thankfully, the court ruled in favour of upholding the law legalising same-sex marriages (and dare I say, what is the bare minimum for a society in the 21st century).

This is most certainly a win in these dark times

Last night while locking the birds up, my soul basically left my body when I saw a rat running through the backyard.
Now today I'm going to be spending lots of time to ensure there aren't any spots for the rat to get into their coop or yard.

Good luck! Smart creatures, they are. They’ve been causing us a lot of grief this year.

I just re-read my post and realised I worded this very poorly.
I hope it was clear that the comment was meant for my own post, having replied with a lighthearted , and the general lighthearted tone I try to keep in most of my posts on this thread.
It was absolutely not meant as a criticism of anyone else’s post, so I really hope it wasn’t taken that way.

Same here. We lost five ~5 week old LF chicks, and more recently, 4 fully mature serama and serama mix hens.

Trying to patch up the coop is an ongoing struggle. If they’ve built extensive tunnels that bring them directly inside, then I don’t even know where I would begin
