2 eggs ?

My porcelain D'uccle hen laid 2 eggs today and also 2 eggs two days ago and an egg a day in between.
I was wondering is this "normal" for D'uccles? Could I be doing something wrong with her feed shes on 16% layer with a little bit of cracked corn? Could this do harm to her? Can I change anything?

This is not normal, and it can occur more often than most chicken keepers realize. Eventually, this double ovulation may get the hen into serious trouble when the shell gland comes up short on calcium, and a soft egg gets stuck or collapses inside the hen.

The treatment is really very simple. Get some of this.

Give her one whole tablet directly into her beak once a day until she's regularly laying one egg per day. Continue for a couple days more, and then let her go back to oyster shell for her calcium needs.

Keep the calcium handy in the run so you can give a tablet if she ever appears to have a stuck egg or this double laying starts up again.
