I thought so too, in fact to me it looks amazing considering how bad it was yesterday..It's not red or swollen and doesn't show any sign of infection so maybe she will pull through this.

She is in my room next to my bed under the heat lamp, she's not really bothered the wound very much, she was yesterday when I was debating on what to do but that's the only time I noticed her picking at it. I think she has realized that it hurts so best to leave it alone

Well ladies I found out today that I am way stronger than I thought. The duckling that hatched the other day had her tummy basically in Lucy's terms explode. There was yolk and a blob of nasty mess coming from her tummy and she knocked it off in her panicked state pulling out her intestines.
After regaining my composure I very carefully pushed her intestines back into her tummy, gave her amoxicillin and put Neosporin on the little hole in her tummy and now I have to wait.. I don't know if she will make it but I do know that I tried everything I could do to save her. Please say a prayer for her..

Update from Lucy (Wendy). She has to go for treatments and won't have Internet.


Well we are home, they gave her 2 shots and a syringe of fluids , he was amazed at how well I managed to put her intestines back in and said everything looks good as far as her tummy goes. Now we just wait until the medicine kicks in and she will either pull through or not. I have done everything possible to save her.
