Well, what area? Shoot, I've got 8 broodys with more thinking about it and still getting a full tray or more of eggs every day!

My cabinet bator is stuffed full and eggs are everywhere!!!

Theres so many people posting I get lost lol. What kind of duckies you got?? I have 5 muscovys, and a young musco in with my 5week old chicks. Among the other feathered wonders that are wandering about.

Oooh, question, if my musco hen has a clutch of 10 and she starts brooding, will it throw her off if one is a mallard and hatches a week before the others????

She'll either abandon the eggs or ignore the early duckling... staggered hatches under broodys is not a good idea... you could add mallard eggs after she is setting for a week though, so they all hatch at same time...

Do you have Muscovies and Mallards living together? Males and females?
I ask because if you're not aware you need to know that any crossbreeding of those species results in mule ducks... just fyi...

I only have scovys, the other egg was found in a popular duck spot. I've got 2 others in a bator that hopefully will hatch in 2 weeks. Maybe I'll discard that one.
