I'm trying to slowly integrate the hens with the chicks. I have 5 hens and I have 9 chicks and 1 grown silkie hen (the chicks and the silkie are a group already). While the hens chase the chicks, once they chase them off/peck once they're done with chasing them for the time being. With the silkie, they jump on her and hold her down and peck etc. Is it because she is full grown? or what is the deal? hens went in chicken time out. We'll try more later.
