2 Free Welsummer Roos- Morgantown PA

I have some roo's myself that I need to get a home for but if I was closer I would make an exception for him.I want a dark egg laying breed so I would have to find a couple of welsummer girls for him.

I understand- I have thought about keeping him, but then I really should let go of some of my other roos- they are all so sweet and all would make very nice and very different babies with my variety of hens.

Sorry to hear of your loss - chickens are considered good eatin' by all kinds of predators; fox, coon, weasel, hawks, to name a few. Anyone lose one to a mink? Seems a young one can wiggle through 2" chicken wire - we found out the hard way. A smaller predator, even small hawk, might drag kill under cover intending to dine, then get wary at the approach of others(humans, dogs, other animals). Wish I could adopt one of your survivors, they're pretty. Wm. (Bill)

Thanks Bill.
I'm leaning toward keeping him and getting him some of his own ladies. I'm pretty sure that won't go over well with DH. Oops!
