The coop finally got here and we put the 18 girls in the coop today..All seemed ok but tonight we checked on them and the 2 silver wyandottes had the feathers in the same spot on their backsjust above the tails pecked away and the spots were raw with some blood.. the spots are about the size of quarters Why would this happen? They are just about 9 weeks ..They are the only 2 that this happened to....We put Blue Kote on them and seperated them back to the brooder till they heal up Is this normal when they get stressed?or is there a mystery chicken that might be a roo that is trying to mount ? Thanks.

Ive had hens do that to others that I added later into a closed pen. They dont do it when they are free range in the horse pastures. I wonder if it is a pecking order thing.
