2 Hen Sitting

Is this normal for 2 hens to sit on eggs in the next to each other? I'm surprise that they don't fight I think its funny. They both lay there eggs in there and they both sit on half the eggs. I guess they want to keep each other company like room mates? haha.

Seems like every year we have two hens that decide to set in the same box. I have never seen both of them off the nest at the same time. When they start hatching , i move one of them to a different area with the new chicks and leave the other on the nest. Works out good for everyone......

I've only had that happen once and after all of the eggs hatched, they killed them. So it would probably be best to seperate them and give each of them half of the chicks. Great pic though.

Last fall I had 2 hens sit together. They hatched the eggs fine, and I even threw in the babies I hatched. They had 19 babies total, and took care of them all. They just shared..
