aww, I'm so sorry for the loss of your 2. I hope the little black hen makes it. You're welcome for the help- I have no way of knowing if it's actually the situation but at least it's something to go on. I wish you and your flock all the best!

Thank you for the help. The little black hen made it through the night and is able to make it around the coop to get water. I think that she is past the worst. This has been a huge learning experience and I feel so sorry for the birds that I lost. I am so thankful that I was able to find this forum and am looking forward to increasing my knowledge.

I'm sorry, it sounds just awful. My guess would have been some kind of poisoning as well. I hope your other chickens are well.
