Coccidia! You need Amprolium/Chorid ASAP!Help!
I was gone for 2 days (daughter watching hens) and checked this morning. One was dead in the coop. Another barley alive. Took it inside to give some water and it struggled a little, had a big watery poop and died on the kitchen floor.
Help - what do I do for the other hens? I have 11 others and I'm worried sick. I just cleaned the coop last week with all fresh pine chips. Should I clean it again?
The Astralorpe that dies seem a bit low energy when I left, but I though it was molting (she was getting new feathers). The Barred Rock that died in the kitchen seemed fine.
I really need advise.
Your daughter must have inadvertently done something that caused all this, I just don't see it as a coincidence that for just 2 days under her care, that all your chickens fell ill. Go and ask her and come tell us what she said to you.Hmmm... she does not have an iphone. She is going to be so upset...
Its sounds like she's having a run with Coccidosis, her daughter didn't cause her whole flock to get sick.Your daughter must have inadvertently done something that caused all this, I just don't see it as a coincidence that for just 2 days under her care, that all your chickens fell ill.
