2 hens dead, weezing and not eating

I have just bought 12 hens and 1 rooster from a guy on a farm. raised them from eggs, half where pullets due to lay in middle OCT, the others are laying age. no need to quarentine because I had no others. I have had them for 2 weeks, then 3 days ago I noticed one not eating and kind of hanging out on it's own, She was breathing heavy and weezing a bit. but no one else was, then the next morning DEAD and she was on of the older ones.. everyone else seems very healthy and eating well.. I have chicken haven for them I think, really nice place and plenty of food and fresh water. Then this morning another one was having a hard time breathing and not eating all of the fresh veggies and fruit I just put down, she was standing off by herself, then I had a guy come put a new internet system in and install some stuff and go back out to gather eggs and she was dead,, HELP I don't want to loose any more. I have called the guy I got them from but he is out of town at a horse show or something.. please help save my Chickens. any ideas would be great thanks

Very sorry to hear about your new chickens. It could be anything. My first thought was to ask about their housing. Is it a brand new structure? Maybe some of the materials used are off-gassing or toxic? Other than that, can only think maybe they were exposed to something on his farm and the stress of going to a new place has lowered their immune systems and now they've come down with some thing.

Was your place pristine? Or had there been other chickens there before?

No chickens that I know of, there is an old barn on the property and I converted one of the rooms into a coop, if you see my avatar pic that is the inside of it, no new materials, stuff I had laying around and from inside the barn,, It had cows but I don't think chickens.. Plenty of ventilation and I keep it really clean,, I use pine shavings supply good food,, I called the guy again and he answered, He has had no problems and said to give a med that goes in the water but he didn't know the name.. help with name of the meds..
