2 hens sitting on the same eggs.

Ok,

So here is a new one for us, we have a silkie that decided that she wanted to sit on eggs all out of nowhere. Anyway 2 days later our other hen Black decides she wants to also,. Heres the thing one these two are itter enemies, second, they are stuffed together in the same cubby sitting on these eggs. Black has never,ever cared about this in the life, lol. Is this normal? what do we do when the chicks hatch? Will they fight again.I am lost sorry

The broody hormones took over. It is hard to say if they will raise the chicks together, but I have read about hens brooding and raising the chicks together.

This happened to me on my first hatch and I didn't know any different so I let them get on with it and they did what they had to do, one was always a more aggressive mother to the other but they did it

Yeah so this is going on right now yep 2 hens been laying on the same 9 eggs for 20 days now lol crazy girls it's baby time any time now!!! Such a sweet pic!!!
