2 late eggs but doing fine their first night

My silver lace cochin hatched out 7, left one late hatch and another piped egg. I had no incubator so I was changing out a damp towel for the egg and helped it a little as some of the membrane had dried from the momma leaving it open.

For now these two are inside and in a mini brooder setup. But I think they'll do fine. I'd like to put them out with the others after a day and them eating to catch up. But at worse.. I'll raise them inside and work out introducing them later.

She took one. Apparently there was another late egg hidden somewhere so I pulled that chick this morning and put it with the other. They both appear to be runts. But if they get moving about a bit better in the next day I'll see if I can put them with the others.

Where they are a nit smaller I'll keep an eye on things till I know there isn't too much sibling bullying.

I'd just let things happen.. but I have a few locals who'd like to get some of these chickens from me this year.
