2-legged prowler!!!!!!

Jeese what a creeper! If you cant shoot him with a real gun also bring a paintball gun or somthin those hurt really too but it wont kill the ****er.

Im kind of wondering if he was looking to steal eggs or some of the chickens. Of course, stealing your game cam and trap might of been on his mind considering you have had a live trap stolen once before. I would padlock everything. I got one of those coated cords and a good padlock to secure my game cam to a tree near my driveway to deter theft. The other one is hidden so well I even forget its there til I walk past it. I would probably padlock the chicken coop too. The live trap you should put between two t-posts and run a chain thru it and padlock it to them. I would also get signs that say you have the property under 24 hour survellience even though you only have the one game cam. Will make them wonder where the hidden cameras are<eg>.

Some companys sell pretty cheap fake security cameras, they come with the flashing red light and everything.

How about a warning shot into the ground or over his head? I bet that would have got him moving! If someone knows you are armed they are much less likely to mess with you. Many criminals know that the police are going to require a certain amount of time to get there...in many cases plenty of time to kill you and make their escape, but a person armed with a gun and lot's of attitude? Most likely not going to chance it. I would try to clean up any possible hiding areas and invest in some motion detector lights on the house. I dont know how expensive they are but even getting one per pay period would help. Thieves do not like well lit yards. Glad you are safe! Also, maybe a phone call to the DA in your area to find out *exactly* what is allowed to protect yourself and your property.

Hate to be a raccoon or coyote on your property! Nothing like a loyal dog and a gun! Lucky chickens!

In Tenessee if your life is in danger you are allowed to shoot. If you are looking to keep people a long way away from your property I would try a shotgun loaded with rock salt. Stings, but don't kill.

Have a poster made up of yourself pointing the gun and post it on the coop. Maybe if he comes back, he'll get the point? As scary as people are, I think it would be just as scary actually shooting (even just a warning shot).
