2 light brahma pullets in Ma

there is no limit i dont think . But i think you will be fine getting a few birds . That pigeon coop is huge . lot of wor taking it apart

i know..but..they said it may come apart fairly easy...its the interior stuff that i want to keep..that may be the prob....the nest boxes...seperate corridore for storage..chicken wire inside where they had seperate sections..for the breeder females.or problem birds...the window boxes that are all screened in...that is all the good stuff i want and dont want to take it apart and mess it up...my husband said he will call some guy he knows in palmer with a flat bed truck..and see if he can get him to help us(depending on how much money he wants)..to maybe move it in one piece..so well see if its doable or not...so, no restrictions in ware?..what about building permits?..for the coop?..Wendy

She always tells me how witches go there to buy white pigeoens and doves for sacrifising

That's TOTAL BS, poultrykeeper...I've been a wiccan/pagan for 30 years and have never EVER hurt an animal for a sacrifice...those are the stupid posers who give us a bad name and a worse reputation...

Back to our regularly scheduled chickens...
Brahmas are a heavy breed so they're more likely to lay late, more like 6 months or more...
I had a Light Brahma/Leghorn crowing hen...They're great birds.

hi spotted crow....i also know quite a bit about wiccan...and no they do not do that kind of stuff...but...satanists(sp) do..so..that may be what she means...blessed be!..Wendy

spotted cow i didnt mean to push any ones buttons i was just saying what she told me .

My whole flock is light brahmas....while they take a little longer to develop, they still start laying around 20 weeks old.

The eggs will be smaller at first, however they will increase in size through the first year, and quite larger after the first molt.

The nice thing about the brahmas is, that they will continue to lay for many years, compared to any hybred, or egg noted layer.

she probably meant that those scary devil worshipers come to get the white birds..the white is symbolic or something...and she has rooster fights there!...geez!..she seemed like such a sweet older lady...lol...wendy

I may be interested in getting the pullets this weekend if they are still available. you are only a hour away. Would they get along with RIR or will I need to make another house and run? Im new to chickens (2 weeks ago I got 8 RIR 1 year olds). I love them and want more. They have 2 houses but 1 is just a doghouse and I could take it out but they all choose that to sleep in which I think is crazy cause there is no roost. The ones you have are white egg layers? I need white eggs come easter. Hubby says they sell them at Diamond egg farm 20 minutes away but I dont know if thats true. Im too afraid to try to raise chicks yet IM too new at this. I would love to raise some turkeys with the crazy price of poultry now. I only cooked 2 turkeys this year and usually do about 6 a year. I'll write on here this weekend or read to see if someone bought them.

Wish I was going to be closer or I would come get them, I am going to be in Haverhill today.
