Ok so i have 4 leghorns around 2 months old give or take a week, one of my roos has been sneezing starting last night, so i put some vet rx on him and i went today and got some tylan 50 and gave him 1/2 cc of it orally and he took it down no problem andngave him some more vet rx, i did see him eat some right after i got him with the vet rx but havent seen him drink yet. Now with tylan 50 what can i do with it? Am i able to put some in the water? Cant i inject it into a sick chicken? Whats the best way to utilize it? This is a picture of little Buck, you can just see that he isnt feeling good

Sorry about your birds not feeling well.

Personally, I've had no results with giving it orally, injection into the breast muscle is more effective.

Best of luck!

Sorry about your rooster. I had a Sebright who started sneezing and ended up looking really scraggly because she wasn't taking care of herself and eventually dying. She would stand and eat, but wheezed with her whole body. I isolated her put,her inside, and gave her medicine, but that didn't make any difference. I hope your rooster gets better with your care.

It is normally for injecting into the breast muscle 1/4 inch deep but many use it orally at 0.2 ml per pound of weight given twice a day, for 5 days. Young pullets can have very little breast tissue for injections.
They may have a virus if sneezing is the main symptom, and there is no bubbley eye drainage or snots. Viruses don't respond to antibiotics, but respiratory viruses, such as infectious bronchitis, can cause symptoms for about a month. I would not add chicks or hatch any for at least a year after the last chicken recovers, since IB can mak them carriers for that long. IB can be hard to tell from MG without testing.

Ok,cool he has started to do this dry heave looking thing where he opens his mouth and extends hist neck upward as far as he can..
At this point im about to findnthe nearest vet whick is probably over 100 miles away that deals with chickens
