2 month old New Hampshire Red crowing?????

Hi! We are new to chickens. These are 8 weeks old, and this morning we woke up to a LOUD crowing!!! My daughter was freaking out because we were told they were all 4 hens!! So I go running out, and June, the New Hampshire Red in the middle is CROWING LOUD! at 8 weeks old, is that possible? And as for Pepper, the Barred Rock in the far back, we are REALLY hoping she is a she... no crowing yet... thoughts?

my daughter cried SO HARD when we heard it this morning....I was hoping that since June has always been the dominant hen, that was why???? And June isn't even our favorite!
As soon as Pepper Crows, major more tears!!! Anyone have a hen crow????

Hens do crow, but a crowing hen is usually 2 years old and dominant.

It is obvious you have two cockerels, so be prepared for more tears.

Sorry, looks like you do have two cockerels. And yes, hens can crow, but as Enola has said, it is usually older hens in a flock with no rooster.
