Yay! I thought so, but people on my local chicken page said she was a boy. Every 2 month old orpington cockerel I found on google had a big red comb and wattles so I was very confusedBoth pullets!![]()
Not sure if every local Facebook group is like this, but mine personally is great at spreading misinformation LOL. I have heard others having negative experiences with Facebook groups as well. They're great for rehoming and there's also a great genetics group, but otherwise I would take a lot of the advise on there with a grain of saltYay! I have noticed that as well. When people started pointing at her saddle feathers at 2 months, I knew I wasn't in the right place to get a good answer about her lol I have been dying for an orpington and a Brahma so I was really excited when this one was thrown in with my brahma yesterday. The lady was so nice and said she just wasn't confident enough that it was a girl to sell her as such and didnt want her to be alone. Only a crazy person turns down a free chicken so of course I acceptedNot sure if every local Facebook group is like this, but mine personally is great at spreading misinformation LOL. Aww, she sounds like an awesome seller! Good luck with the two! They're the two breeds I keep and their personalities get along great. Orpingtons and Brahmas are an excellent combinationI have noticed that as well.
