I've been looking all over the web, YouTube, here, and I'm trying to figure out what is going on with my 2 month old Pekin female. She's been healthy and strong until this week when I noticed she can't walk as far as the other duck now. She frequently stops to sit down, her leg might shake a bit, and then today she can barely use it. It's folding over and she's walking on the top of it sometimes. Today after swimming, she was fluffing out her feathers and kept leaning to one side, bringing the injured or affected leg up in front of her almost. The only change I made to their diet recently was to add these duck treats called Flock Party, and they have vitamins, Niacin, etc. in it to help with their health. I have been giving 3 pellets per duck per day by hand to make sure one of them isn't getting all 6 pellets. I checked for bumble foot and all clear. She does walk with a limp when she can actually open the webbing on her foot and use it properly to take a step.

Both ducks are in a large rubbermaid container, and we take them outside to swim, forage and walk around everyday. We are in the process of building their new home, so we're making due with what we have for now. If our drake got along with them, we'd put them outside together, but he's mean to them and pulls them around by their wings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is this the only niacin she is getting? very important duckling get at least 125 to 150 mgs of niacin daily to help with leg health. So if me I'd go and get a B complex vitamin in liquid. Since she is showing symptoms of lameness already this will be the fastest way of treating her. TSC carries liquid B complex you can put it on their fav treat like dried meal worms @CayugaJana gives it to her Pekins this way. Hopefully she can give advise also.

What are you feeding them beside the treats with the niacin does it say how much is in it?
If they really like the Flock Party you could probably use them to get the B complex into her.

Have you inspected the feet and legs? Is there scabs or swelling? What about the feel? Is one spot really hot to the touch?
